Hammer Heads Deluxe

Hammer Heads Deluxe Review

If anyone can make a game based on little more than clicking the mouse repeatedly work, it would be PopCap. With games like Zuma, Bejeweled, Insaniquarium and many more they know how to make a great game, and that reputation continues with Hammer Heads.

With a hammer as your weapon, your goal is to bash gnomes as they pop-up on screen. Miss a gnome and you will lose some life. You have to be quick because as the game reaches higher levels the gnomes appear faster and begin to require more hammer hits. Every few levels you will be able to visit the Shiny Shop and upgrade your hammer or purchase other power-ups. However, to get the coins to purchase items you have to collect them with your hammer while you are bashing gnomes. This results in a mouse clicking frenzy.

Hammer Heads features Classic Bash, Marathon Bash and a Trophy Room, where badges are collected for various accomplishments. After successfully completing the Classic Bash you will unlock another game mode.

I found this to be a fun game with simple game play. It can provide a quick break from the day or if you are on a roll bashing gnomes then you can get lost playing for a couple hours. The different gnome characters and bonuses keep the game interesting making Hammer Heads an entertaining lighthearted game.

Graphics: Creative gnome characters with personality.

Sound: Animated with fantastic sound effects.

Overall: Fun. Who wouldn’t want to bash gnomes?
